About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our Medical HSEP team, specializing in working with patients living with frailty. As a Band 5 Trainee Specialist Occupational Therapist, you will be part of a friendly and well-established integrated therapy service, working alongside experienced colleagues and supported by a Frailty Lead Therapist/Advanced Clinical Practice Trainee and Clinical Lead.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work alongside cohesive, supportive, and forward-thinking multidisciplinary teams on the medical and HSEP wards.
  • Participate in weekend and bank-holiday rotas.
  • Display transdisciplinary working competencies across Occupational therapy and physiotherapy.
  • Evidence of teaching and supervision skills.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Computer literate.
Person Specification
  • Demonstrate ability to meet the Trust Values.
  • HCPC Registration.
  • Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy.
  • Experience in specialist area at Band 5 level.
  • Experience with complex discharge planning.
  • Experience working with patients living with frailty.
