Criminal Justice Liaison and Diversion Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to join our Criminal Justice Liaison and Diversion service as a Band 6 Practitioner. The successful candidate will work closely with our team to provide holistic assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and liaise with stakeholders to meet unmet needs and reduce the cycle of reoffending.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake comprehensive assessments of individuals referred to the service, identifying vulnerabilities and developing risk plans.
- Liaise with police, courts, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Work closely with the team to develop and implement individualized care plans, addressing mental health concerns and unmet social needs.
- Provide support and guidance to individuals, families, and carers, promoting independence and well-being.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of service policies and procedures, ensuring best practice and quality care.
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional with a strong background in mental health and criminal justice. The ideal candidate will possess:
- Current professional registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse, Registered Learning Disability Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Social Worker.
- Experience of working in mental health as a qualified professional, with a proven ability to work with other professional groups.
- Ability to work autonomously, making decisions around patient care and risk assessment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with statutory and voluntary services.
