We are seeking a highly skilled Software Developer to join our team on a permanent contract, based at our London Shoreditch office (Hybrid Working). As a Software Developer, you will be part of a team of around 5 engineers responsible for the maintenance and development of new and existing applications, including architecture, design, implementation, and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform technical discoveries resulting in design reports and plans for the delivery of new features.
  • Problem solving and assistance to our growing client base.
  • Learn and Follow the Ocado engineering principles.
  • Deliver well-engineered solutions that are easy to understand and maintain.
  • Identify problem spaces and look for solutions with your Team.
  • Ensure your products effectiveness and challenge design, process and implementation when it's wrong.
  • Pursue technical excellence with appropriate quality and security built-in.
  • Deliver quality software solutions in a timely fashion.
  • Follow the teams agreed agile processes and contribute to the continued evolution of them.
  • Collaborate effectively with your team and other teams to find the right answers.
Requirements
  • You have Java, Spring, AWS, GitLab experience.
  • Experience developing software solutions in a team environment.
  • Experience using Agile methodologies.
  • Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar Technology degree.
  • Strong verbal and written communication in English.
