Join Our Team as a Software Development Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to join our team at Software Defined Automation GmbH. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of our flagship product, The Exchange Platform.

Our team is responsible for managing over 5 billion requests per day, and billions of pounds of customers' money via our software. We are looking for a talented individual who is passionate about technology and has a strong background in software development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and test software applications using Java and the Spring Framework
  • Work with Kafka for messaging and Oracle DB (PL/SQL) and My SQL DB for data persistence
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure the smooth operation of our Linux-based systems on AWS public and I2 private cloud
  • Develop and maintain deployment scripts using Jenkins and Maven, with a focus on Continuous Delivery (CD)
  • Automate app deployment using Ansible and Python/Bash scripts
  • Monitor and alert on system performance using Splunk and Sensu
Requirements
  • More than 4 years of software development experience
  • Leadership experience, with a track record of mentoring team members or a desire to take on a leadership role
  • Passion for technology and a commitment to code quality and best practices
  • Keen to contribute to the vision of our next-generation platform
  • Willing to take on new challenges and work on a variety of projects and applications
  • Love collaborating with other developers and keen to do pair programming
