Rotational Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our team in a rotational position. As a Band 5 Occupational Therapist, you will have the opportunity to work in various clinical settings, including acute inpatient stroke wards, general and vascular surgery, trauma and orthopaedics, complex care, and frailty. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, working closely with healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
Main Responsibilities- Hold an active caseload within your current rotation at Worcestershire Royal Hospital or Alexandra Hospital.
- Take an active role within the referral system across OT services, providing accurate feedback to senior staff to allow the allocation of the caseload to effect timely assessment and discharge.
- Provide advice/assistance to OT assistants and students carrying an acute caseload.
- Contribute to effective team working within the OT Team on rotation and wider MDT.

Key Requirements- Evidence of recent acute hospital OT experience.
- Some knowledge of current best practice in OT.
- Understanding of professional ethics and their application in practice.
- Basic knowledge of health legislation and current practice.
- Basic knowledge of principles of clinical governance.
- Health, safety and risk awareness.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
