Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our team at Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver outstanding services.
Key Responsibilities- Lead practice development and provide expert advice on occupational therapy assessments and interventions.
- Manage a caseload of clients with complex needs, using evidence-based and client-centered principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions.
- Provide leadership for junior staff, through supervision and appraisal.
- Participate in the planning, development, and evaluation of occupational therapy services, within a designated area/team, holding responsibility for defined projects.
- Contribute to the maintenance and development of the Trust's occupational therapy service.
- Regularly supervise occupational therapy students.
- Specialist knowledge and application of occupational therapy assessments and interventions relevant to the client group.
- Knowledge/experience of audit procedures.
- Understanding of occupational therapy outcome measures.
- Detailed knowledge of mental health legislation and current practice.
- Detailed knowledge of the principles of clinical governance and its application.
- Working knowledge and experience of the application of the Model of Human Occupation.
- Knowledge of occupational therapy models of practice.
- Experience of a range of mental health settings.
- 27 days leave plus bank holidays, increasing up to 33 days with long service.
