Position Overview
Our client, a prominent contractor in the social housing sector, is seeking a dedicated Resident Engagement Officer to join their team.
Role Responsibilities
The Resident Engagement Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless execution of projects by fostering and nurturing positive relationships among residents, subcontractors, client representatives, and the project team.
Main Duties
1. Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.
2. Cultivate effective working relationships with client representatives, including housing departments, to minimize redundancy and maintain consistency in information dissemination, keeping residents fully informed about project timelines.
3. Identify high-risk or vulnerable residents and collaborate with the Site Manager to tailor project activities accordingly.
4. Conduct pre-work visits to each resident to introduce the project and clarify the scope of work.
5. Establish individual resident profiles to document specific needs and create customized communication plans.
6. Collaborate with site personnel to implement best practices.
7. Perform property condition and appliance surveys with photographic documentation prior to the commencement of work.
8. Create and maintain comprehensive plot files in both paper and electronic formats.
9. Facilitate communication flow between site management and all stakeholders.
10. Engage with resident representatives and community groups to discuss project updates, gather feedback, and address significant local issues in coordination with the Senior Resident Liaison Officer and Community Investment Team.
11. Schedule appointments for surveys and project work, ensuring timely communication of all relevant dates to residents.
12. Address complaints in accordance with established procedures.
13. Distribute clear and accessible communication materials as needed.
14. Participate in project management meetings as required.
15. Support community initiatives, such as newsletters and safety competitions, in collaboration with the Senior Resident Liaison Officer and Community Investment Team.
16. Provide aftercare information and guidance on new installations.
17. Observe and enforce site health and safety regulations, promptly reporting any risks or near misses to the site manager.
18. Organize satisfaction surveys for residents, compile feedback, and collaborate with the Senior Resident Liaison Officer to enhance service delivery.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of one year of experience in resident liaison within the construction or social housing industry.
- Proficient in report writing.
- Exceptional customer service abilities.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work within established guidelines.
- Competent in using MS Office applications (Word and Excel).
