About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Design Engineer to join our team at Hunter Selection. As a Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the development of new products and the improvement of existing designs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop new products and product lines, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible and meet production requirements.
  • Develop and maintain technical specifications, including Bill of Materials (BOMs), technical drawings, and product documentation.
  • Use CAD software, such as SolidWorks, to design and develop new products and product lines.
  • Perform calculations and testing using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to ensure product integrity and performance.
  • Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to understand customer needs and develop products that meet those needs.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and apply that knowledge to improve product designs and manufacturing processes.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a design engineering role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, including materials science and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, such as SolidWorks, and experience with FEA analysis.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and develop creative solutions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple projects and deadlines.
