Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team at Kier Group. As a key member of our transportation infrastructure team, you will play a crucial role in designing and delivering highway improvement and maintenance schemes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct investigations and site visits to identify improvement opportunities and develop solutions
  • Prepare technical designs, drawings, and documents for infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop project management plans and ensure successful project delivery
  • Produce technical reports and proposals to support project development and implementation

Requirements

  • Strong technical knowledge of highways design and maintenance techniques, including the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges
  • Experience in delivering complex projects in highways engineering or similar technical disciplines
  • Knowledge of traffic management regulations and requirements
