We are seeking a skilled Highway Design Engineer to join our team at Kier Transportation in Ipswich. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in designing and delivering highway improvement and maintenance schemes for local authorities and external commissioners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop highway improvement and maintenance schemes, including feasibility studies and detailed designs.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery.
  • Prepare technical designs, drawings, and documents, adhering to CDM Regulations 2015 and other relevant standards.
  • Produce technical reports and proposals to support project development and delivery.
Requirements:
  • Strong technical knowledge of highway design and maintenance techniques, including the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges.
  • Experience in delivering complex projects in highways engineering or similar technical disciplines.
  • Knowledge of traffic management regulations and requirements.
