Service Transition Manager

Hamilton Barnes is seeking a skilled Service Transition Manager to lead the smooth handover of services from project delivery into live operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transition Planning: Develop and manage detailed plans covering timelines, activities, and resources to ensure a seamless transition.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and collaborate with Operations teams to implement mitigations and ensure operational readiness.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Provide transparent updates and issue resolution between Delivery, Operations, and Senior Management.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards and adherence to policies throughout the transition process.
  • Documentation: Oversee and maintain key documents such as transition plans and knowledge base articles.
  • Training: Lead knowledge management and training to prepare teams for new services.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive process enhancements for more efficient service transitions.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs and report progress to stakeholders.
  • ITIL Support: Assist with ITIL processes, including Incident, Problem, and Change Management.

Requirements:

  • Experience managing service transitions in IT environments.
  • Strong ITIL knowledge (V4 Managing Professional or V3 Service Transition).
  • SC clearance (or willingness to undergo), with potential for DV clearance.
  • Strong multitasking, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Experience with ITSM tools like ServiceNow, Remedy, or Jira.
