Dietitian - Care Home Professional Support Team

NHS Scotland is committed to providing high-quality care to its patients, and as a Dietitian in our Care Home Professional Support Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our care homes provide the best possible nutrition and dietetic support to their residents.
As a Dietitian, you will work closely with care home staff to provide expert advice and guidance on nutrition and dietetics, and to help them develop and implement effective care plans for their residents. You will also be responsible for conducting assessments and providing recommendations for individual residents, and for monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of care plans.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert advice and guidance on nutrition and dietetics to care home staff
- Conduct assessments and provide recommendations for individual residents
- Develop and implement effective care plans for residents
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care plans
- Work closely with care home staff to ensure that residents receive the best possible nutrition and dietetic support
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a degree in a relevant field, such as dietetics or nutrition, and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). You will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively in a team.
You will need to be able to travel to care homes across the Ayrshire and Arran region, and have a full UK driving licence. You will also need to be able to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, as required.
