Dietitian - Care Home Professional Support Specialist

NHS Ayrshire and Arran is seeking a skilled Dietitian to join our team in providing care home support across the Ayrshire and Arran region.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert dietetic support to care homes to improve knowledge and contribute to the wellbeing of residents.
- Work collaboratively with Community Dietetic teams to provide professional leadership, expert advice, and best practice guidance and support for care home staff.
- Develop and maintain clinical skills through regular training and mentorship.
- Travel across the Ayrshire and Arran region to provide support to care homes.
- Degree in AHP discipline (Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Speech & Language Therapy)
- State registration with HCPC
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Evidence of working across a range of specialities including complex care, older people and community rehabilitation
- Evidence of additional experience at post graduate equivalent level relevant to job purpose
This is a fixed term/secondment until March 2025. The working week will be 37 hours per week, with part-time hours considered. A UK driving licence and car ownership are essential for this role.
