About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Police Enquiry Officer. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to the public, responding to enquiries and incidents, and working closely with other teams to ensure the smooth operation of our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide initial responses to enquiries and incidents, offering advice, information, and guidance to the public and other agencies.
  • Receive and record information accurately and efficiently.
  • Deal with witnesses, victims, and the general public in a supportive and reassuring manner, escalating to other police resources as necessary.
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to ensure the effective delivery of our services.
Requirements
  • Proven customer focus approach and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work under challenging and difficult circumstances.
  • Effective team working skills and knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Word.
  • Full driving licence (unless prevented by reason of disability).

Working Arrangements

This role is based at our headquarters in Exeter, with the requirement to travel to other stations for training and other purposes. A degree of flexibility is required to accommodate training during the initial period.
