Aeropeople is actively seeking a B2 Licensed Engineer (line maintenance) - Sponsored Reservist for our esteemed client located in Carterton, Oxfordshire.

This role presents a unique opportunity to engage with a premier aviation service provider, dedicated to fostering the growth and development of its workforce. The organization specializes in comprehensive maintenance, military and civil aviation programs, training, and significant aircraft enhancements.

Role Overview:

The B2 Licensed Engineer is responsible for executing aircraft maintenance tasks in compliance with company quality standards and regulatory airworthiness criteria. Collaborating closely with the Shift Manager, the engineer ensures that operational services align with all contractual obligations.

As a Sponsored Reservist, you will be engaged in support of specific aircraft operations. During periods without military obligations, you will revert to your civilian role within the organization.

Eligibility Requirements:

To qualify for Sponsored Reservist status, candidates must possess a UK passport, demonstrate medical and dental fitness, and maintain the necessary fitness standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance in line with regulatory and company protocols.
  • Report to the Shift Manager or designated deputy regarding aircraft receipt, dispatch, and servicing, including pre-flight checks, daily inspections, and scheduled maintenance.
  • Certify all maintenance tasks within the scope of authorization under the supervision of the company Quality Manager.
  • Ensure that all technical personnel under supervision adhere to safety and procedural standards.
  • Oversee documentation for aircraft and ensure timely and accurate certification entries.
  • Manage materials and equipment necessary for tasks while maintaining a clean working environment.
  • Be prepared for AOG recovery of aircraft from deployed operations at short notice.
  • Coordinate with Planning on technical issues and upcoming scheduled inputs.
  • Facilitate the ground movement of aircraft as directed by the Shift Manager.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Report safety and disciplinary issues to the immediate Line Manager.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Line Manager.
  • Maintain a commitment to delivering a safe service in accordance with the SMS, Quality, and Environmental Management Systems.
  • Act as a deputy for senior engineer roles during absences.
  • Utilize the company GCIS Maintenance IT Support systems as required.
  • Operate company-provided ground support equipment in line with authorizations.
  • Exhibit a safety-focused approach in all work aspects.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of relevant company administrative processes.
  • Engage in emergency response actions and drills.
  • Promote a culture of open reporting and staff encouragement.
  • Understand and manage human factors that may impact operations.
  • Uphold integrity and confidentiality in all role aspects.
  • Exhibit skills in investigation and analysis.
  • Demonstrate motivation and leadership in fostering a corporate safety culture.
  • Manage resources and planning effectively.
  • Comprehend company policies and national environmental regulations.

Benefits:

  • Base salary of £68,868
  • Annual shift allowance of £7,500 (paid monthly)
  • Attestation payment of £3,313.44 upon attestation
  • Bounty payments of £3,313.44 twice yearly (subject to deployability)
  • Quarterly call-out payment of £663.12 if deployed or completing RAF training
  • Military duty pay of £3.30 per hour

Candidate Profile:

  • B2 UK CAA Licence.
  • Must pass a CP2 Colour Vision Test.
  • At least one of the following type ratings: Airbus A330/A320/A321/A380 or Boeing B747/B777/B787.
  • Experience in both line and base maintenance environments.
  • Proven experience with commercial or military aircraft.
  • Previous company approvals on commercial or military aircraft preferred.
  • Experience in a MOD environment is desirable.
  • Outstation experience is advantageous.
  • Full UK driving licence required.
