Aeropeople is actively seeking a B2 Licensed Engineer (line maintenance) to join our esteemed client in Carterton, Oxfordshire. This role presents a unique opportunity to be part of a premier aviation service provider dedicated to employee development.

The B2 Licensed Engineer will be responsible for executing aircraft maintenance tasks in compliance with company quality standards and regulatory airworthiness requirements. You will collaborate closely with the Shift Manager to ensure that operational services fulfill all contractual obligations.

As a Sponsored Reservist, you will be deployed to support specific aircraft operations. When not engaged in military duties, you will revert to your civilian responsibilities within the organization.

Eligibility Criteria:

To qualify for the Sponsored Reservist role, candidates must possess a UK passport, maintain medical and dental fitness, and uphold the necessary fitness standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance in line with regulatory and company standards.
  • Report to the Shift Manager or designated deputy regarding aircraft servicing, including pre-flight checks, daily inspections, and scheduled maintenance.
  • Certify all maintenance tasks within the scope of authorization, under the supervision of the Quality Manager.
  • Ensure all technical personnel under your guidance adhere to safety protocols and relevant documentation.
  • Manage documentation for aircraft under your control, ensuring timely and accurate certification entries.
  • Oversee the use of materials and company equipment, maintaining cleanliness in the work area.
  • Be prepared for AOG recovery of aircraft from deployed operations at short notice.
  • Engage with Planning to discuss technical issues and upcoming scheduled inputs.
  • Coordinate ground movements of aircraft as assigned by the Shift Manager.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Report safety and disciplinary issues to the immediate Line Manager.
  • Perform additional duties as directed by the Line Manager.
  • Commit to delivering a safe service in accordance with the Safety Management System, Quality, and Environmental Management Systems.
  • Act as a deputy for senior engineer roles during absences.
  • Utilize the company’s Maintenance IT Support systems as necessary.
  • Operate company-provided ground support equipment in alignment with authorizations.
  • Maintain a safety-focused approach in all aspects of work.
  • Possess knowledge of relevant company administrative processes.
  • Demonstrate skills in document control management.
  • Participate in emergency response actions and drills.
  • Encourage staff engagement and open reporting within a just culture.
  • Be aware of human factors and their implications.
  • Exhibit integrity and confidentiality in all job functions.
  • Utilize investigation and analysis skills effectively.

Candidate Profile:

  • B2 UK CAA Licence required.
  • Must successfully pass a CP2 Colour Vision Test.
  • At least one of the following type ratings is necessary: Airbus A330/A320/A321/A380 or Boeing B747/B777/B787.
  • Experience in both line and base maintenance environments is essential.
  • Proven experience with commercial or military aircraft.
  • Previous company approvals on commercial or military aircraft are advantageous.
  • Experience in a MOD environment is desirable.
  • Outstation experience is a plus.
  • A valid UK driving licence is required.

Note: Applicants must be eligible for SC (Secret Level) UK Security Clearance.
