Senior Manager of Internal Audit

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager of Internal Audit to join our Corporate division. This role is pivotal in enhancing our clients' operational efficiency and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee an Internal Audit and Controls portfolio, collaborating with Partners and Directors to guarantee timely and precise execution of intricate technical audits and controls projects.
- Manage the delivery of client programs, ensuring completion within set timelines and budgets while addressing any arising issues effectively.
- Conduct advanced audit and controls assignments, maintaining high standards of quality and effectiveness.
- Review audit work to ensure compliance with RSM's rigorous standards.
- Develop initial drafts of client audit strategies and annual audit programs, supported by comprehensive service delivery proposals for approval.
- Prepare and approve draft progress reports for clients and Audit Committees prior to final sign-off.
- Represent RSM in audit and control discussions, including client meetings and Audit Committees.
- Ensure optimal planning and utilization of team members in alignment with approved budgets.
- Engage in client billing processes, providing solutions to potential issues impacting billing and recovery targets.
- Monitor recovery targets and collaborate with Directors to achieve budgetary goals.
- Address daily team matters, providing feedback on performance and supporting development and recruitment processes.
- Foster talent development through effective leadership and mentoring.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities for additional work.
- Support business development initiatives through participation in networking events and presentations.
- Assist in preparing tenders and presenting proposals to secure new business.
Qualifications
- Professionally qualified (ACA/ACCA/IA or equivalent).
- Experience with listed and large private organizations, as well as the not-for-profit sector.
- Recent and relevant experience in Internal Audit and/or SOX controls projects.
- Proficient in IT tools including Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and data analytics software.
- Demonstrated commitment to high professional standards and firm initiatives.
- Strong technical knowledge of internal audit processes and sector-specific issues.
- Ability to anticipate and manage technical and commercial risks.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
- Commitment to continuous learning and development of specialized knowledge.
- Experience in training and mentoring team members.
- Willingness to travel to client sites as required.
