Job Overview:
Hays Senior Finance is a prominent firm of Chartered Accountants, renowned for its substantial presence in the Northwest. We are currently seeking a dedicated Senior Audit Consultant to join our expanding Manchester office. This position is a result of our ongoing growth and presents an excellent opportunity for a driven ACA / ACCA finalist or newly qualified accountant to elevate their career within a supportive and progressive audit and advisory team. Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Audit Consultant, you will engage in a diverse range of tasks, managing a varied portfolio that includes owner-managed businesses, international firms, property clients, and rapidly growing enterprises. Your role will encompass all stages of the audit process, from planning to completion. Daily responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting intricate and challenging fieldwork.
  • Finalizing and concluding audit reports.
  • Preparing year-end financial statements.
  • Assisting clients with management accounts and cash flow forecasts.
  • Coaching junior staff, reviewing their work, and providing valuable insights to clients.
In your initial year, you will enhance your advisory capabilities in a client-facing role, with opportunities for advancement into management positions within the firm.

Qualifications and Skills:
We are looking for a professional Senior Audit Consultant, ideally newly qualified or nearing completion of their ACA / ACCA qualification, with substantial experience in delivering high-quality audit services. Proficiency in all aspects of the audit process and experience in mentoring junior team members will be crucial for success in this role.
