About the Role

Vitality is seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our team. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for expanding our distribution footprint within the intermediated market by collaborating closely with specialist intermediaries, employee benefit consultants, and tele-broker firms operating aggregator or pricing comparison sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across the consumer and SME mid-markets
  • Develop strategies to oversee the sales of insurance products or services to intermediaries and their clients
  • Consistently meet or exceed new business sales targets and goals, while being accountable for portfolio growth and persistency
  • Manage intermediary portfolio growth to ensure lapses are within tolerance and net sales achieve year-on-year growth
  • Build and maintain durable and productive business relationships with allocated advisers on panel
  • Effectively use management information to manage sales opportunities and ensure maximum conversion of high-quality business
  • Promote Vitality's health products and employer wellness services to engage intermediaries and aid their clients in implementing well-being solutions

Requirements

  • Experience in private medical insurance
  • Working knowledge of applications such as Word, PowerPoint, and computer literacy
  • Financial services background
  • Ability to present technical training and sales messages to adviser panels
