Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Signal Communications Specialist to join our team at 43 (Wessex) Signal Squadron. As a Signal Communications Specialist, you will be responsible for setting up, maintaining, and operating secure digital communication systems, IT systems, and satellite communications. You will also have opportunities to learn cyber skills and gain qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up, maintain, and operate secure digital communication systems, IT systems, and satellite communications
  • Learn cyber skills and gain qualifications
  • Work in support of the emergency services and other government agencies during UK national emergencies or national events
  • Perform regular maintenance on communication detachments and equipment
  • Participate in training weekends and events to develop skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Prove British citizenship or Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) or Indefinite leave to Enter (IlE) must be stamped on your passport (Settlement) in the UK
  • Citizens of the Irish Republic joining the Army Reserve must be living in the UK to be eligible to join
  • Refugees and Asylum Seekers are not eligible to apply to join the Army Reserves
  • Minimum commitment of 27 days per year - maximum of 207 days a year (to include a 15 day continuous training event)
