About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at Uniform Education. The successful candidate will be working in the Deaf Unit of a mainstream primary school, supporting a group of deaf children in the nursery and reception classes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to deaf children in the nursery and reception classes, including those with complex needs.
  • Use British Sign Language (BSL) or Makaton to communicate with children and support their learning.
  • Assist with intimate care for children who require it.
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure the children receive the best possible support.

Requirements:

  • Experience or qualification in British Sign Language (BSL) or Makaton.
  • Ability to work with children with complex needs and provide patient and understanding support.
  • Comfortable with intimate care and able to provide support with personal care tasks.

Working Hours:

The successful candidate will work full-time, Monday to Friday, with hours from 8:30am to 3:45pm.

Salary:

The salary for this role is up to £120 per day.
