Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

The chosen candidate will be responsible for the operational oversight of the Adult Eating Disorders Team. Key duties include providing clinical leadership, managing personnel and financial resources, ensuring adherence to evidence-based practices, coordinating care delivery, and addressing unexpected challenges.

You will work closely with the Service Manager to facilitate service enhancement and meet the Trust's strategic objectives. Furthermore, you will assist the team in adapting operational policies to align with service transformations, implement innovative practices, and provide visible support to team members.

Job Duties

Core Responsibilities

  • Oversee the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
  • Lead nursing contributions during multidisciplinary meetings.
  • Ensure that clinical staff provide high-quality reports for specialist placements and tribunals.
  • Offer expert guidance to staff, clients, and external agencies.
  • Exhibit effective clinical leadership to enhance staff competencies.
  • Stay informed about relevant legislation and promote effective communication.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure a variety of therapeutic interventions.
  • Maintain a conducive environment for patient care.

Candidate Profile

Education and Qualifications

Essential

  • Registered Nurse/Occupational Therapist/Clinical Psychologist/Social Work qualification.
  • NMC or HCPC registration.

Desirable

  • Evidence of ongoing personal and professional development.
  • Experience in teaching or coaching roles.

Knowledge and Expertise

Essential

  • Understanding of mental health legislation.
  • Experience in team management and achieving service objectives.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in clinical practices related to mental health.
  • Leadership and team management experience.
  • Advanced understanding of adult mental health needs.
  • Familiarity with care planning for adults with mental health needs.
