Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Endoscopy Team Leader to join our Theatre Team at Nuffield Health Cambridge Hospital. As a key member of our clinical operations team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Endoscopy Suite, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of our endoscopy service, including policy, procedure, and strategy implementation.
  • Support individuals and teams to deliver high-quality, clinically effective patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Lead the day-to-day management of the Endoscopy Unit, working collaboratively with the Hospital Matron and Theatre Manager.
  • Build strong relationships with consultants, hospital senior leaders, and healthcare professionals to ensure patients benefit from the best possible treatment and care.

Requirements

  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council or HCPC, with a postgraduate qualification in a relevant field.
  • Extensive experience of managing endoscopy patients, particularly in JAG-accredited environments.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Global Rating Scale and JAG accreditation, with evidence of endoscopy competency through the JETS Workforce program.
  • Minimum of 3 years' senior experience working in a similar setting.
  • Qualification in teaching, with some mentoring experience.
  • Clinical assessment skills, with a physical examination course desirable.
  • Accountable for leading, motivating, educating, and supervising the Endoscopy Team.
  • Professional management experience, with skills in business planning and development, audits, clinical governance, infection prevention, health and safety, and risk analysis.
