Specialist Pharmacist – Cancer and Aseptic Services B7

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced pharmacist to join our team as a Specialist Pharmacist – Cancer and Aseptic Services. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality patient-focused clinical pharmacy services to patients with haematology and oncology conditions.
Main Responsibilities- Provide highly specialist clinical pharmacy services to haematology and oncology in-patients, day case and outpatients.
- Support the Cancer Services team to deliver a specialist Pharmacy Service to patients receiving systemic anti-cancer treatments.
- Work closely with the Specialist Pharmacist for Aseptic Services to ensure the safe and effective preparation of medicines under Section 10 of the Medicines Act 1968.
- Participate in the Cancer and Aseptic Services on-call and out-of-hours service on a rotational basis.
- Undertake teaching and clinical supervision of pharmacy staff and other healthcare employees.
- Engage in Quality Improvement and practice research projects.

Requirements- Relevant post-registration experience as a pharmacist in the UK.
- Proven good general pharmaceutical, technical and clinical knowledge.
- Previous experience in an aseptic preparation workplace, including the preparation of chemotherapy or parenteral nutrition.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Able to prioritise work and work well within a busy environment.
- Audit skills.
- Able to supervise and guide the work of less experienced members of staff.
