CMD Recruitment is seeking to appoint an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a leading manufacturing organization located in Wiltshire. This company specializes in the production of precision components, primarily catering to the automotive, aerospace, and power generation sectors, serving a global clientele.

The organization operates three facilities in the Southwest of England, with this role based at the Bath location.


As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to conduct both mechanical and electrical upkeep of various machinery utilized in a light precision engineering setting.

You will become part of a well-established maintenance team, where your responsibilities will include scheduled maintenance, installation of new equipment, and commissioning of plant systems.


Main Duties and Responsibilities:


Perform electrical maintenance and installation on industrial and domestic systems, including: BMS, boilers, AHUs, hot and cold-water systems, chillers, and DFUs.

Maintenance tasks will be documented and organized using a maintenance management system, which will require updates following each task.

Ensure that proactive, periodic, and preventative maintenance is appropriately planned in accordance with production needs and executed, while also guaranteeing that emergency troubleshooting and maintenance support are available as required.

Ensure completion of equipment preventative maintenance services (PPM) in line with the maintenance schedule.
Continuously monitor and enhance maintenance processes in accordance with original equipment manufacturers (OEM) standards.
Actively participate as a member of the maintenance team focused on enhancing the performance and efficiency of the manufacturing operations.
Serve as a mentor and guide for Electrical/Mechanical/Maintenance apprentices.
The role involves working a fixed day shift pattern as follows:

Monday to Thursday 07:00 - 16:00 or 07:30 - 16:30 and Fridays 07:00-12:00 or 07:30 - 12:30

Skills and Experience Required:


The ideal candidate will be a qualified Electrician, holding the 18th Edition in BS7671:2018 IET Wiring Regulations, and preferably possess prior experience with various types of shop floor machinery, including mills and lathes.
