An opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Maintenance Technician, tasked with the thorough inspection, testing, installation, and upkeep of all electrical systems, to contribute to our operations.
Hargreaves Industrial Services delivers a comprehensive Operations, Maintenance, and Industrial cleaning service to our clients in the Biomass handling sector.
We oversee the daily maintenance and functionality of a material handling system that includes traditional and Air glide conveyors, alongside several transfer towers and three 25,000-ton storage silos, facilitating the transfer of Biomass wood pellets.
The site is consistently supported by our industrial cleaning team, ensuring that a stringent cleaning protocol is maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure Job cards are appropriate for the tasks outlined in the Work Order Card and associated Risk Assessment and Method Statement (perform electrical isolations as necessary).
- Communicate daily with the Electrical supervisor/Management team.
- Identify and resolve all defects.
- Conduct maintenance and repairs on all Electrical/Instrumentation equipment.
- Execute Planned Maintenance according to Operation Manual Schedules.
- Install Electrical Apparatus.
- Perform P.A.T. Testing of portable appliances (training available).
- Diagnose faults in electrical systems.
- Operate site vehicles and complete necessary documentation.
- Utilize Workshop Equipment and tools as required and complete relevant documentation.
- Conduct Examinations and Inspections of all Electrical/Instrumentation equipment.
- Continuously seek improvements in service delivery.
- Communicate with the Electrical Supervisor/Management team regarding any incidents.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Completion of a Time-served Apprenticeship/Equivalent with a minimum of 2 years' experience.
- Familiarity with 17th/18th edition of electrical installation regulations.
- Experience in fault diagnostics and repair solutions.
- COMPEX certification (desirable, training can be provided).
- IOSH Managing Safety (desirable, training can be provided).
- Risk assessment training.
- Manual handling training.
- COSHH awareness training.
- Flexible approach to work, including shift work and unsocial hours.
- Positive attitude towards safety.
Training will be provided for the right candidate.
Hours of Work: Full-time Shift Work
