SALARY: Approximately £42,273.41 per annum
SHIFT PATTERN: 5x 12 hour days on 4 days off, 5x 12 hour nights on 5 days off, 2x 12 hour days and 2x 12 hour nights on 12 days off
A position has become available for an Electrical Maintenance Technician, tasked with the thorough inspection, testing, installation, and upkeep of all electrical systems, to become a part of our team.
About Hargreaves Industrial Services: We deliver a diverse range of Operations, Maintenance, and Industrial cleaning services to our clients.
Our responsibilities include the daily management and maintenance of a material handling system that features traditional and Air glide conveyors, along with several transfer towers and large storage silos that facilitate the transfer of materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that Job cards are appropriate for the tasks outlined in the Work Order Card and associated Risk Assessment and Method Statement.
- Engage in daily communication with the Electrical Supervisor and Management team.
- Identify and resolve all defects.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on all Electrical and Instrumentation equipment.
- Execute Planned Maintenance in accordance with Operation Manual Schedules.
- Install Electrical Apparatus as required.
- Conduct P.A.T. Testing of portable appliances (training available).
- Demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot electrical systems.
- Operate site vehicles and complete necessary documentation.
- Utilize Workshop Equipment and tools as needed and maintain relevant records.
- Conduct Examinations and Inspections of all Electrical and Instrumentation equipment.
- Continuously seek opportunities for service improvement.
- Communicate with the Electrical Supervisor and Management team regarding any incidents.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Completion of a Time-served Apprenticeship or equivalent, with a minimum of 2 years' experience.
- Familiarity with the 17th/18th edition of electrical installation regulations.
- Experience in fault diagnostics and repair solutions.
- COMPEX certification (desirable, but training can be provided).
- IOSH Managing Safety certification (desirable, but training can be provided).
- Training in risk assessment, manual handling, and COSHH awareness.
- A flexible approach to work, including shift work and unsocial hours.
- A positive attitude towards safety.
Training: Comprehensive training will be provided for the right candidate.
Working Hours: Full-time shift work.
