This exciting opportunity is part of our commitment to breaking the cycle of violence and supporting individuals with mental health issues in Lewisham.
About the RoleWe are looking for a skilled and empathetic individual to work closely with our Violence Reduction Team. As a Mental Health Link Violence Reduction Officer, you will play a vital role in preventing and reducing crime in Lewisham by providing case management services to individuals with identified mental health issues who have perpetrated or are at risk of violence.
Key Responsibilities- Take responsibility for a caseload of clients, including initial engagement, assessment of risk, needs, and providing support in accessing appropriate services.
- Undertake and facilitate evidence-based interventions to reduce reoffending, utilizing current best practice, including a knowledge and understanding of the trauma recovery model and restorative approaches.
- Facilitate service user access and engagement with required mental health services to support prevention/recovery.
- Develop individual re-integration plans to meet the needs of offenders, ensuring that needs identified are monitored through individual action plans and reviewed at regular intervals.
