About the Role

Canonical is seeking a talented Data Platform Automation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our data platform team, you will play a crucial role in building a comprehensive automation suite to provide multi-cloud and on-premise data solutions for the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with a distributed team to design and implement fault-tolerant data platforms
  • Write high-quality, idiomatic Python code to automate data platform operations
  • Debug issues and interact with upstream communities publicly
  • Work with experts in various fields to deliver domain-specific expertise
  • Discuss ideas and collaborate on finding good solutions
Requirements
  • Proven hands-on experience in software development using Python
  • Proven hands-on experience in distributed systems
  • Bachelor's or equivalent in Computer Science, STEM, or a similar degree
  • Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events
