About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and organized Radiology Department Administrator to join our team at Nuffield Health. As a key member of our administrative staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our Radiology team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Appointment Booking: Book appointments for outpatients both in person and over the phone, ensuring accurate and efficient scheduling.
  • Query Handling: Respond to queries from patients, staff, and other stakeholders in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Electronic Patient Record Systems: Utilize modern electronic patient record systems effectively within the scope of the department, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Confidential Reports and Conversations: Handle confidential reports and difficult/sensitive conversations with discretion and professionalism.
  • Database Maintenance: Maintain databases and perform data entry tasks as required.
  • Secretarial Services: Provide secretarial services such as minute taking, word processing, and diary management.

Requirements

  • Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage, appraise, and interpret data.
  • Education and Experience: Ideally be educated to GCSE in English and Maths, with NVQ Level 2 in Business and Administration or equivalent. Experience within a healthcare administrative environment would be a real advantage.
  • IT and Keyboard Skills: Have good IT and keyboard skills, with the ability to adapt to complex IT systems.
  • Pressure Management: Be able to work under pressure, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
