We are seeking a highly skilled and ambitious Semi-Senior Accountant to join our team at Puro Accountancy. As a Semi-Senior Accountant, you will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients, providing them with a high-quality service and developing your skills in all areas of accounting and taxation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of statutory accounts and financial statements
  • Preparing tax returns for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations
  • Assisting with VAT returns and ensuring accurate and timely submission
  • General bookkeeping duties, including reconciliations and journal entries
  • Supporting the senior team with accounting issues and providing expert advice
  • Liaising with clients to gather relevant financial information and ensure that deadlines are met

Requirements:

  • Accounting qualifications such as part ACCA/AAT qualified or equivalent
  • At least 3 years' experience in a UK accountancy practice environment, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, including financial reporting and taxation
  • Experience using accounting software, including spreadsheets and financial management systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
