Job Summary:

  • Oversee all aspects of accounting and financial management, including financial reporting and budgeting.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Learn and implement financial modelling and forecasting.
  • Stay up-to-date with accounting and finance best practices, regulations, and standards to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Manage a team of accounting professionals, including setting goals, providing feedback, and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Provide strategic financial advice and support to management to help drive business growth and profitability.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting and Budgeting:
    • Prepare and review financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
    • Develop and implement budgeting processes to ensure accurate forecasting and financial planning.
  • Accounting Policies and Procedures:
    • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
    • Review and update accounting policies and procedures as needed to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Financial Modelling and Forecasting:
    • Develop and implement financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and cash flow.
    • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management to inform business decisions.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:
    • Stay up-to-date with accounting and finance best practices, regulations, and standards to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement.
    • Coordinate with external auditors, tax authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Team Management:
    • Manage a team of accounting professionals, including setting goals, providing feedback, and ensuring deadlines are met.
    • Develop and implement training programs to ensure team members have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Strategic Financial Advice:
    • Provide strategic financial advice and support to management to help drive business growth and profitability.
    • Develop and implement financial strategies to achieve business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience.
  • ~ ACCA, ACA, CIMA qualification, or currently studying.
  • ~ 4 years+ of experience in accounting and financial reporting, preferably in UK Public Practice.
  • ~ Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and standards.
  • ~ Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
