Job Title: Electronics Design Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Design Engineer to join our R&D team at Octagon Group. As an Electronics Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the development of new scientific instrumentation products that will be used by a range of industries including Medical, Defence, and Nuclear.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electronic hardware and firmware for scientific instrumentation products
  • Test and validate prototype hardware and firmware
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met
  • Travel to customer sites and collaborate with internal teams to support product development

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in electronic design and development, including PCB design and schematic capture
  • Knowledge of analogue and digital electronic design principles
  • Experience with embedded programming languages such as C/C++
  • Valid UK driving license and ability to travel
