Working Hours: 37 Hours per Week
Rate: 38ph Umbrella

Role Overview

The position entails delivering essential support and social work services for children, adolescents, and families. The role encompasses managing a designated area and requires addressing a multifaceted caseload that includes evaluations, interventions, and follow-ups.

Key Responsibilities
  • Case Management: Manage intricate caseloads involving children, adolescents, and families.
  • Assessments: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of children and families.
  • Visits: Perform regular home visits to children and their families.
  • Interventions: Apply suitable interventions grounded in best practices and evidence-based approaches.
  • Reviews: Assess the work completed to ensure compliance with necessary standards.
  • Direct Work: Engage directly with children, adolescents, and families.
  • Mentoring: Provide mentoring, job shadowing, and experiential learning opportunities.
  • Development: Pursue the Practice Educator qualification and additional post-qualifying modules.
RequirementsQualifications Required
  • Education and Certifications:
    • Degree in Social Work
    • Certified Qualification in Social Work (CQSW) / Certificate in Social Service (CSS) / Diploma in Social Work (SWSP)
    • Home Office letter of recognition
  • Professional Registration: Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council on the Social Care Register.
  • Post Qualification Learning: Evidence of ongoing professional development and learning.
Experience and Skills
  • Experience with diverse client groups.
  • Familiarity with local procedures and safeguarding protocols.
Compliance Requirements
  • DBS Level: Enhanced child-only

We seek a qualified professional with HCPC registration and a minimum of one year of post-qualification experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in assessment, planning, and intervention, along with excellent record-keeping and report-writing abilities. A proactive and collaborative approach is essential for managing a complex workload.
