Key Responsibilities- Advise clients on mortgage applications and provide guidance on loan repayment schedules.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and business partners.
- Assess the financial position and credibility of mortgage applicants and refer protection requirements to the mortgage team.
- Explain loan repayment schedules and manage loans throughout their lifespan.
- Review and update loan files and credit documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage and coach junior team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
- Assist senior leadership in the strategic growth of the mortgage team and identify opportunities for expansion.
- Cross-refer clients to other areas of the group, such as accountancy, commercial, and insurance teams, to provide a comprehensive range of financial services.
- Obtain and compile applicants' credit histories and financial information to ensure accurate and informed decision-making.
- Ensure clients adhere to loan agreements and manage timely repayments to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Maintain ongoing client management to build strong relationships and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in residential mortgages, with a proven track record of writing over £200k per year.
- CeMAP Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of FCA and MCOB regulation and compliance.
- Working knowledge of mortgage operations with banks or lenders.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
- Strong numerical skills for loan calculations and repayments.
- Ability to analyse loan applications and supporting documents.
- Annual salary of £35,000 - OTE - £70,000.
