About the Midwife Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Midwife to join our team at University Hospital Plymouth NHS Foundation Trust. As a midwife, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to expectant mothers and their families throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and the postnatal period.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess the needs of women, partners, families, and carers, and plan, deliver, and evaluate standards of evidence-based midwifery care.
  • Provide full antenatal care, including parenting classes, clinical examinations, and screening, and identify high-risk pregnancies.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and support to women and their families.
  • Comply with NMC Professional Registration and keep up to date with current nursing practices.
