About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial and Business Development Manager to join our team at Veolia ES (UK) LIMITED. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for managing daily commercial activities, maintaining good client relationships, and promoting Veolia's expertise to facilitate negotiations and win new projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Commercial Activity Management: Manage daily commercial activities, including commercial requests, RFQ/ROM, and other related tasks.
  • Client Relationship Management: Maintain good client relationships and promote Veolia's expertise to facilitate negotiations and win new projects.
  • Risk Management: Help operational teams recognize and mitigate risks by bringing solutions to commercial challenges.
  • Contract Compliance: Support the Commercial Manager/General Manager to ensure the organization complies with contractual and statutory obligations.
  • Process Development: Manage the review and continuous development of commercial processes and procedures for the PAC, Tidworth PFI contracts, and Tidworth Inset.
  • Contract Negotiation: Challenge existing contracts and support negotiation of new contracts with the support of the Head of Commercial (IWE South).
  • Dispute Resolution: Manage or support the resolution of commercial disputes.
  • Business Opportunity Identification: Recognize and optimize business opportunities.
  • Bid Development: Work together with relevant departments to develop accurate and consistent bids/proposals.
  • Proposal Quality Control: Perform quality checks of proposals and highlight value for money opportunities and contractual issues to customers through these submissions.
  • Financial Management: Manage appropriate financial sign-off of commercial quotations prior to issue, in accordance with the Delegation of Authorities.
  • Supply Chain Management: Work with procurement to ensure supply chain contracts are structured to suitably mitigate contract risks.
  • Financial Reporting: Ensure transparency on financial data through accurate cost control, analysis, and reporting, and maximize project profitability.
