Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial & Developer Services Manager to join our team at Veolia. As a key member of our commercial operations team, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and ensuring the successful delivery of our commercial activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage daily commercial activities, including commercial requests, RFQ/ROM, and other related tasks.
  2. Maintain strong client relationships and promote Veolia's expertise to facilitate negotiations and secure new projects.
  3. Collaborate with operational teams to identify and mitigate risks, providing commercial solutions to challenges.
  4. Support the Commercial Manager/General Manager to ensure compliance with contractual and statutory obligations.
  5. Develop and maintain commercial processes and procedures for the PAC, Tidworth PFI contracts, and Tidworth Inset.
  6. Champion the negotiation of new contracts with the support of the Head of Commercial (IWE South).
  7. Manage or support the resolution of commercial disputes.
  8. Identify and optimize business opportunities.
  9. Work with relevant departments to develop accurate and consistent bids/proposals.
  10. Perform quality checks of proposals, highlighting value for money opportunities and contractual issues to customers.
  11. Manage financial sign-off of commercial quotations prior to issue, in accordance with the Delegation of Authorities.
  12. Collaborate with procurement to ensure supply chain contracts mitigate contract risks.
  13. Ensure transparency on financial data through accurate cost control, analysis, and reporting, maximizing project profitability.
Requirements:
  1. Excellent management and organizational skills to balance and prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
  2. Excellent customer service skills.
  3. Stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
  4. Knowledge of project management and risk management.
  5. Knowledge of laws and regulations applicable to the Water Industry.
  6. Strategic and negotiation skills to make sound commercial decisions.
  7. Previous knowledge and experience of operations and maintenance contracts.
