Job Title: Commercial & Developer Services Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial & Developer Services Manager to join our team at Veolia. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for managing daily commercial activities, maintaining good client relationships, and promoting Veolia expertise to facilitate negotiations and win new projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage daily commercial activities, including commercial requests, RFQ/ROM, and other related tasks.
  2. Maintain good client relationships and promote Veolia expertise to facilitate negotiations and win new projects.
  3. Help operational teams recognize and mitigate risks by bringing solutions to commercial challenges.
  4. Support the CM/GM to ensure the organization complies with contractual and statutory obligations.
  5. Manage the review and continuous development of commercial processes and procedures for the PAC, Tidworth PFI contracts, and Tidworth Inset.
  6. Challenge existing contracts and support negotiation of new contracts with the support of the Head of Commercial (IWE South).
  7. Manage or support the resolution of commercial disputes.
  8. Recognize and optimize business opportunities.
  9. Work together with relevant departments to develop accurate and consistent bids/proposals.
  10. Perform quality checks of proposals and highlight value for money opportunities and contractual issues to customers through these submissions.
  11. Manage appropriate financial sign-off of commercial quotations prior to issue, in accordance with the Delegation of Authorities.
  12. Work with procurement to ensure supply chain contracts are structured to suitably mitigate contract risks.
  13. Ensure transparency on financial data through accurate cost control, analysis, and reporting, and maximize project profitability.
Requirements:
  1. Excellent management and organizational skills to balance and prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
  2. Excellent customer service skills.
  3. Stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
  4. Knowledge of project management and risk management.
  5. Knowledge of laws and regulations applicable to the Water Industry.
  6. Strategic and negotiation skills to make sound commercial decisions.
  7. Previous knowledge and experience of operations and maintenance contracts.
