About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial & Developer Services Manager to join our team at Veolia. As a key member of our commercial operations team, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and ensuring the successful delivery of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily commercial activities, including commercial requests, RFQ/ROM, and contract negotiations.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and promote Veolia's expertise to facilitate negotiations and secure new projects.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, bringing solutions to commercial challenges and supporting the operational teams.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual and statutory obligations, working closely with the CM/GM and Head of Commercial.
  • Develop and maintain commercial processes and procedures for the PAC, Tidworth PFI contracts, and Tidworth Inset.
  • Challenging existing contracts and negotiating new contracts with the support of the Head of Commercial (IWE South).
  • Manage or support the resolution of commercial disputes and recognize business opportunities.
  • Work with relevant departments to develop accurate and consistent bids/proposals, performing quality checks and highlighting value for money opportunities and contractual issues.
  • Manage financial sign-off of commercial quotations and ensure transparency on financial data through accurate cost control, analysis, and reporting.
Requirements
  • Excellent management and organisational skills to balance and prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent customer service skills and stakeholder management.
  • Strategic and negotiation skills to make sound commercial decisions.
  • Knowledge of project management and risk management, as well as laws and regulations applicable to the Water Industry.
  • Previous knowledge and experience of operations and maintenance contracts.
