Nursery Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursery Manager to lead our purpose-built nursery in the Arts Centre building. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily running and administration of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all statutory and registration requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a long-standing nursery team through effective coaching, mentoring, and role modelling.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of childcare and education.
  • Manage the nursery's budget and resources to ensure efficient operation.
  • Collaborate with the college's senior leadership team to promote the nursery's services and develop strategic partnerships.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years' post-qualification experience of working in an early years environment.
  • Experience in a leadership role, with a proven track record of inspiring and motivating teams.
  • Hold a minimum Level 3 (full and relevant) qualification in childcare or a related field.
  • Be a conversant user of MS Office and IT systems, with a willingness to learn and develop ICT skills.

Our nursery offers full and sessional day-care for pre-school children from 5 months of age, with places fully funded for eligible students and a small number of fee-paying places available for staff of the college.
