Position Summary:

We are looking for a Consultant who possesses a strong background in Obstetric Anaesthesia to oversee a variety of anaesthetic procedures. The selected individual will participate in the on-call consultant rota and engage with the distinguished Barts Health network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional anaesthetic care for both elective and emergency cases.
  • Lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, fostering robust relationships with patients and colleagues.
  • Provide educational training to medical staff and healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in research initiatives, quality enhancement, and audit processes.

Essential Qualifications:

  • CCT in anaesthesia or in the process of obtaining CCT.
  • Registered with the GMC and holding a valid license to practice.
  • FRCA or an equivalent certification.
  • Specialization in Obstetric Anaesthesia.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience managing high-risk obstetric patients with cardiac conditions.
  • Training in relevant anaesthesia subspecialties.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Background in teaching and research activities.
