About the Role

MSF UK is seeking an experienced Anaesthetist to join our team in a dynamic and challenging environment. As an Anaesthetist with MSF UK, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, from refugee camps to hospitals in developing countries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide anaesthesia services to patients in need, including those in emergency situations
  • Train and mentor local staff in anaesthesia techniques and procedures
  • Develop and implement anaesthesia management plans for hospitals and health centres
  • Collaborate with other medical professionals to ensure effective pain management

Requirements

  • Proven experience in anaesthetics, with a focus on paediatric and obstetric anaesthesia
  • Full GMC or Irish Medical Council registration
  • Ability to work in resource-limited environments
  • Minimum of three months' work experience in low- and middle-income countries
  • Fluency in English

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in teaching and training others
  • Ability to work in unstable environments
  • Flexibility and adaptability

Language Requirements

We are particularly interested in candidates with good French or Arabic language skills.
