Position Summary:

We are in search of a Consultant who possesses a strong background in Obstetric Anaesthesia, capable of providing comprehensive anaesthetic care across various specialties. The selected individual will participate in the on-call consultant rota and will have the privilege of working within the renowned Barts Health network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional anaesthetic care for both elective and emergency procedures
  • Lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, fostering positive relationships with patients and colleagues
  • Provide education and training to medical staff and healthcare professionals
  • Engage in research initiatives, quality enhancement, and audit processes

Essential Qualifications:

  • CCT in anaesthesia or currently in training towards CCT
  • GMC Registered with an active license to practice
  • FRCA or an equivalent qualification
  • Specialization in Obstetric Anaesthesia

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience managing high-risk obstetric patients with cardiac conditions
  • Training in relevant anaesthesia subspecialties
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Involvement in teaching and research activities
