MSF UK is seeking an experienced Anaesthetist to join our team. As an Anaesthetist with MSF UK, you will be responsible for providing high-quality anaesthesia care to patients in need. Your expertise will be invaluable in supporting our surgical and maternity departments, as well as other areas of the hospital or health centre.

Responsibilities:

* Order and manage materials to meet the anaesthesia needs of the hospital or health centre.
* Mentor and support local staff in learning basic anaesthesia skills.
* Plan and implement anaesthesia management training workshops.
* Support pain management for all departments in the hospital or health centre.

Requirements:

* Proven experience in anaesthetics, with a focus on paediatric and obstetric anaesthesia.
* Full GMC or Irish Medical Council registration.
* Ability to work with limited resources.
* Available for a minimum period of eight weeks.
* Minimum of three months' work experience in low- and middle-income countries.
* Ability to work in unstable environments.
* Adaptable and able to work in a team.
* Flexible and able to manage stress.
* Able to provide training and supervision to others.
* Fluency in English.

Assets:

* Previous experience in other medical roles, particularly in casualty and paediatrics departments.
* Availability at short notice.

Languages:

We are currently looking for Anaesthetists with good French or Arabic skills.

If you can speak French or Arabic, you are much more likely to be accepted onto our register.

Your language level may be tested during the recruitment process.
