As a Dialogue Engineer at PolyAI, you'll play a pivotal role in crafting the conversational journeys of our AI-powered assistants. Your expertise will shape the way millions of customers interact with global brands, leaving a lasting impact on their experiences.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Design Customer-Centric Interactions: Develop engaging and intuitive conversational flows for virtual assistants, ranging from simple FAQ responses to complex multi-turn dialogues.
  • Build and Refine AI Models: Utilize internal tools and Python scripting to construct and maintain our AI models, ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in understanding and responding to customer queries.
  • Data-Driven Optimization: Analyze performance metrics and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement, constantly refining our AI systems to deliver optimal results.
  • Iterate Based on User Feedback: Actively listen to real customer interactions and prioritize enhancements that elevate the conversational experience.
  • Promote Responsible AI: Collaborate with our engineering team to ensure that our AI implementations are both powerful and ethical, prioritizing safety and fairness in every interaction.
Your Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:
  • Meticulous Attention to Detail: A commitment to crafting seamless and error-free conversational flows.
  • Clear Communication Skills: The ability to articulate complex ideas and user journeys in a concise and understandable manner.
  • Interest in Conversational AI: A genuine enthusiasm for exploring the possibilities of natural language understanding and dialogue systems.
  • Python Proficiency: Experience with scripting languages, particularly Python, for developing and maintaining AI models.
  • Analytical Mindset: An aptitude for data analysis and a desire to leverage insights to improve conversational experiences.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Academic Background in Relevant Fields: A degree in Interaction Design, Linguistics, or another Social Science discipline.
  • Experience with Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders throughout the content development process.
  • Familiarity with NLU Technology: Experience working with Natural Language Understanding (NLU) tools and platforms.
  • Data Manipulation Expertise: Proficiency in data manipulation, analysis, and visualization techniques.
