We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team at LASER Energy. As a Decarbonisation Solar Project Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing renewable energy installation projects, ensuring client satisfaction and delivering high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of solar PV technologies, including modules, mounting systems, inverters, and monitoring systems, and the latest installation standards and best practices.
- Manage projects from conception through installation to final commissioning, ensuring the highest quality standards are met on time and within budget.
- Ensure the application of risk and issue management across the project(s), instigate mitigation actions, identify contingency plans, and manage remedial actions through to conclusion.
- Conduct project meetings and attend programme and portfolio meetings, maintaining effective working relationships to deliver high customer satisfaction.
- Agree and monitor snagging and handover processes to ensure full project completion.
- Set and review contractor responsibilities and expectations.
- Professional qualification in project management, such as APM Project Management Qualification or another recognised qualification.
- Experience delivering solar projects, such as large-scale commercial rooftop installations, with an understanding of the technical requirements to deliver the project.
- A high level of computer literacy and ability to create and use complex spreadsheets or project management software packages.
- Ability to survey large buildings, make accurate records of existing installed lighting and other M&E equipment.
- Experience delivering tight timescale projects.
- Understanding of public sector procurement rules and practice (desirable).
- Full UK driving license.
