Department & Position Overview:

The Employee Relations and Operations Lead will oversee and enhance employee relations practices, ensuring adherence to UK employment regulations while cultivating a positive workplace atmosphere. This position demands a proficient HR expert with substantial experience in employee relations, adept problem-solving skills, and exceptional communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Employee Relations Strategy: Formulate and execute effective employee relations strategies that align with Civica's business goals and promote a constructive workplace culture.

Case Management: Address and resolve intricate employee relations matters, including disciplinary procedures, grievances, performance assessments, and workplace inquiries, ensuring equitable and consistent enforcement of company policies.

Compliance: Guarantee that all employee relations activities conform to UK employment laws and regulations. Remain informed about legislative changes and advise senior leadership on necessary adjustments.

Policy Development: Create, review, and revise HR policies and procedures related to employee relations, ensuring they embody best practices and are effectively communicated to staff.

Advisory Role: Offer expert guidance to managers and employees on employee relations issues, aiding in conflict resolution and enhancing workplace dynamics.

Training and Development: Design and implement training programs for managers and employees on employee relations subjects, including conflict resolution, performance management, and effective communication.

Data and Analytics: Leverage HR metrics and analytics to monitor employee relations trends, pinpoint areas for enhancement, and report key performance indicators to senior management.

Mediation and Conflict Resolution: Serve as a mediator in employee disputes, facilitating resolutions that are equitable and advantageous for both employees and the organization.

Engagement Initiatives: Spearhead initiatives aimed at boosting employee engagement and satisfaction, collaborating closely with the HR team to devise and implement engagement strategies.

Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with employee relations challenges, ensuring proactive measures are established to avert workplace conflicts and sustain a harmonious work environment.

Employee Relations Leadership: Provide coaching and training to team members, ensuring they possess a thorough understanding of legislation and company policies.
