Senior Corporate Tax Consultant
We are seeking a qualified Tax Consultant to enhance our dynamic Business Tax division. This pivotal role can be fulfilled from various office locations.
The ideal candidate will be a recently qualified or an experienced Tax Consultant with ambitions to advance to a managerial position.
The primary objective of this role is to supervise and manage a portfolio of corporate tax clients, ensuring their compliance cycle is effectively handled with support from senior team members, while also engaging in advisory projects as needed.
This position is crucial within the Business and Corporate Tax Team, with initial responsibilities including the oversight of compliance functions for business tax clients.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and potentially review UK corporation tax computations.
- Monitor reporting and payment deadlines.
- Collaborate closely with audit and accounts teams to provide advice on tax accounting entries and disclosures.
- Mentor and train junior colleagues within the Business Tax Team.
- Provide corporation tax compliance proposals and quotes to potential clients.
- Depending on experience, coordinate and review other business tax-related returns.
- Oversee financial performance in alignment with KPIs.
- Manage correspondence with clients and HMRC.
- Identify opportunities for tax planning and risk mitigation, ensuring clients receive proactive service.
- Assist with additional projects and duties as required.
- Ensure adherence to the Firm's technical, ethical, risk, and compliance standards.
The Ideal Candidate:
The successful applicant will be expected to operate largely independently, with necessary support from tax partners and directors.
Strong relationship management skills will be essential, as the candidate will play a key role in team collaboration, client interaction, and mentoring junior staff.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Comprehensive knowledge of corporate tax regulations and practices.
- Familiarity with tax issues affecting owner-managed businesses and their stakeholders.
- Understanding of other business taxes and tax reporting processes is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in UK accounting standards and the ability to interpret financial information.
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office and databases; experience with Alphatax is a plus.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
