Job Overview:
We are seeking a qualified Tax Consultant to become an integral part of our expanding Business Tax division. This pivotal role offers flexibility in location, allowing candidates to work from multiple office sites.
The ideal applicant will be a recently qualified or seasoned Tax Consultant aiming for advancement to a managerial position.
The primary responsibility of this role is to manage a portfolio of corporate tax clients, ensuring compliance while collaborating with senior team members on advisory projects as needed.
This position is essential within the Business and Corporate Tax Division, with initial duties focused on overseeing a range of compliance functions for business tax clients.

Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing and reviewing UK corporation tax computations.
- Monitoring compliance deadlines and payment schedules.
- Collaborating with audit and accounting teams to advise on tax-related entries and disclosures.
- Mentoring and training junior members of the Business Tax division.
- Providing tax compliance proposals and estimates to potential clients.
- Depending on experience, coordinating and reviewing other business tax returns.
- Managing financial performance in accordance with established KPIs.
- Handling correspondence with clients and tax authorities.
- Identifying opportunities for tax optimization and cross-selling services.
- Assisting with various ad hoc projects and responsibilities as required.
- Ensuring adherence to the firm's technical, ethical, and compliance standards.
Candidate Profile:
The successful candidate will be expected to operate with a degree of autonomy, while receiving necessary support from senior tax partners and directors.
Strong relationship management skills will be essential, as the candidate will play a key role in team collaboration and client interactions, while also coaching and evaluating junior staff.
Required Skills & Experience:
- In-depth knowledge of corporate tax regulations and practices.
- Familiarity with tax issues affecting owner-managed businesses and their stakeholders.
- Understanding of additional business taxes and reporting processes is advantageous.
- Proficiency in UK accounting standards and financial information interpretation.
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office and databases.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
